Scope and single purpose
This policy covers the PPT Merger browser extensions for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and the PPT Merger web application at pptmerger.org.
The extension has one purpose: to combine local PowerPoint .pptx
presentations into one editable PPTX file. To provide that feature, it lets you choose
files, preview slides, select and reorder slides, run the merge and download the result.

Data handled by the extension
The extension handles only information you explicitly choose for a merge: the selected PPTX files, their file names and sizes, presentation structure and slide contents, your slide selections and ordering, and the locally generated merged presentation.
This information is processed entirely inside the extension page and its browser Web Worker. It is not collected by the developer and is never uploaded to a file-processing server.
Information we do not collect
The extension does not collect names, email addresses, account information, device identifiers, location, browsing history, website content, authentication data, financial information, usage analytics, crash reports or telemetry.

Storage, retention and deletion
Selected presentations and working merge data are held only for the active workbench session. The extension does not store this data in browser extension storage, Local Storage, IndexedDB, cookies or a remote database.
Reloading or closing the extension workbench clears its working state. A merged file is saved to your device only when you choose to download it; after that, the downloaded file is controlled by you and your operating system.

Permissions and security
The extension requests no host permissions and no optional browser permissions. It does not read the pages you visit, your open tabs or your browsing history. Its background service worker only opens the extension's own workbench page when you click the toolbar icon.
The extension's Content Security Policy blocks network connections from extension pages. Scripts and workers must load from the packaged extension itself, which helps keep presentation processing contained on your device.

Website data
The web version uses the same local-only merge architecture: PPTX contents are processed in your browser and are not uploaded. No account is required, and the merge tool itself sets no cookies.
Website analytics
The website at pptmerger.org uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages
people find useful. It records aggregate usage—pages viewed, referring site, approximate
location derived from an IP address Google truncates before storing it, device type,
browser and language—and sets first-party cookies whose names begin with
_ga so that repeat visits are not counted twice.
Analytics never receives your presentations: PPTX files, slide contents, file names and merge selections stay inside the browser tab and are not sent to Google or to us. You can opt out with any content blocker or with Google's opt-out browser add-on. The browser extensions do not load Google Analytics at all—their Content Security Policy blocks network requests, so extension usage is never measured.
The website is delivered through Cloudflare and may display promotional badge images hosted by third-party product directories. Like ordinary website infrastructure, those providers may receive standard request information such as an IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, referrer and timestamp for delivery and security. These requests do not contain your PPTX files, slide contents or merge selections. If you follow an external link, that destination's own privacy policy applies.

Browser extension store commitments
PPT Merger's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, and the Microsoft Edge Add-ons developer policies. Information handled by the extension is used only to provide its disclosed single purpose of locally merging PowerPoint files. It is not transferred or used for personalized advertising or other unrelated purposes.

Children's privacy
PPT Merger is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children. The extension does not knowingly collect personal information from children—or from any other user.

Changes to this policy
If PPT Merger's data practices change, this page and its “last updated” date will be revised. Any material new collection or use will be disclosed prominently, and consent will be requested when required, before the new practice begins.
